DMG MORI is climate neutral
As one of the first industrial companies worldwide, DMG MORI has a balanced CO2 footprint.
DMG MORI uses three ways to operate in a climate-neutrally in its own value creation. For many years, investments have been made in high energy efficiency, which means that our own greenhouse gases are consistently reduced. Energy is saved through modern heating, ventilation and cooling concepts. At the headquarter in Bielefeld, the annual CO2 emissions have been reduced by around 500 tons.
The company's own photovoltaic systems produce renewable energy and since the beginning of 2020, almost all locations have only used green electricity. This saves around 25,000 tons CO2 annually. The remaining emissions which could not be avoided up to now, are offset by compensation payments in sustainable, certified projects.
A wind power project in Turkey, a hydropower project in India and a biomass project in China are supported. Our claim to ourselves is to work more efficiently and resource-efficiently every day, because sustainability is a process that must always be improved.
