Right at the top: Gildemeister apprentice is best in his profession

For many young people, vocational training after leaving school lays the first foundation stone for the rest of their lives. If this training then also turns out to be above average, the joy is all the greater. This is exactly what Gildemeister's former apprentice Samuel Zelmer achieved: He passed his final apprenticeship examination as a cutting machine operator on January 28, 2022 with the grade "very good" and is thus the best in his year.

Training as a cutting machine operator is a dual vocational training in which periods in the company are combined with periods at vocational school. The trainees learn how to manufacture components for technical products - such as Gildemeister's lathes. CNC-controlled machine tools are used for this. Accuracy and care are important here, which Samuel Zelmer has already demonstrated in various competitions, such as the National Championships in CNC turning.

Samuel Zelmer's very good graduation is an achievement of which the young man as well as the training company can be proud. On October 25, 2022, the honorary ceremony took place at the GOP Varieté Theater Kaiserpalais in Bad Oeynhausen. There, the certificates were presented by the East Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Bielefeld to the top trainees in all apprenticeship occupations. Samuel Zelmer is now following up his training with a university degree in mechanical engineering in cooperation with Gildemeister Drehmaschinen GmbH.
