Become a DMG MORI designer (mechanical)

As a member of our development team, many innovative tasks await you! Alongside the conception and development of ultramodern NC milling machines and the design of mechanical sub-assemblies, your duties include the creation of drawings and technical calculations. You’ll be in close contact with internal departments, that will assist you.

Your duties

  • Conception and development of ultramodern NC milling machines
  • Design of mechanical sub-assemblies and machines according to design specifications
  • Design and calculation of mechanical components and mechatronic systems
  • Creation of technical calculations, drawings, plans, BOM and documents
  • Oversight of current machines and sub-assemblies
  • Implementation of quality improvements
  • Planning and execution of technical modifications according to internal specifications
  • Involvement in subsequent machine testing in test phases
  • Carrying out cost computations and value analyses

Your profile

  • Successfully completed technical course of study in mechanical engineering, or technical vocational training with supplementary qualification as technician or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience
  • Excellent knowledge of machining, machine dynamics, drive control and the CAD system Pro/ENGINEER in connection with PDM systems
  • Good FEM analysis skills
  • Sound knowledge of process operations in machine tool building
  • Confident handling of 3D models and technical drawings
