Become a DMG MORI application engineer for factories
Our application engineers work on challenging projects daily. They create CAD / CAM programs for customers and oversee the entire technological environment, including for example the selection of tools and clamping devices, and optimizing the process parameters for customer parts. You will also be responsible for demonstrations and presentations of our machines at trade fairs in Germany and abroad, and technology seminars in our showrooms.
Your duties
- Machine demonstrations at our showrooms
- Set-up, programming and optimization of customer parts
- Development of demo programs and parts for trade fairs and in-house exhibitions
- Pre-acceptance and acceptance of machines at customers’ places of business in our subsidiary
- Teamwork in the production and implementation of customer parts at our machine fleets
- In-practice implementation of turnkey projects and machine acceptances, component-specific in our subsidiary and ultimately with the customer
- Assistance at trade fairs and in-house exhibitions
Your profile
- Successfully completed training as cutting machine operator or similar training, ideally with extensive technician or master craftsman training
- Several years relevant vocational experience in milling technology (tool and die, mechanical engineering, aerospace, automotive, or medical technology)
- Sound knowledge of CAD / CAM and programming of Heidenhain and Siemens controls, FANUC skills a plus
- Experience dealing with MS Office, good English skills
- Excellent communication strengths, high-level team skills and motivation
- High flexibility and resilience combined with a willingness to travel nationally and internationally
