Become a junior area sales manager at DMG MORI

Our area sales managers make up the spearhead of our sales department. They represent DMG MORI over an entire region and advise our customers on the entire DMG MORI product portfolio. At the same time, they are the interface between customers and our production plants, and communicate customer requirements in order to always sell the best possible solutions, tailored to their needs.

Your duties

  • Close collaboration and training with an experienced area sales manager, followed by the development of new customers, assistance to existing customers, and management of resources for generating new business contacts
  • Involvement in the development and implementation of strategic sales plans, budget plans and monthly forecasts
  • Establishment and maintenance of strong customer relations; understanding of customer demands and needs, development of solutions to fill these needs with regard to the business demands of DMG MORI
  • Development and execution of product demonstrations and customer presentations
  • Preparation of sales reports through collection, analysis and compilation of sales information, and of market analysis reports on competitor activity and market trends
  • Coordination and integration of territory sales reports (CRM); maintenance and updating of customer databases 
  • Participation in national and international trade fares, assistance in advertising, in-house fairs and other associated activities

Your profile

  • Completed training in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar technical field
  • Some experience in industry-specific sales, ideally in CNC machine technology and application
  • Focus on customer service with proven ability to establish and maintain effective customer relations
  • Good communication and presentation abilities; skills in conveying technology positioning and product positioning both to business users and technical users
  • Business fluent English skills (written and spoken)
  • Results-driven, independent and able to work in an advising, solutions-oriented sales environment
  • Drivers license, willing to travel nationally / internationally for up to 80% of the work

Good performance is well rewarded, which is why all of our employees are given an attractive remuneration package. Independent of the position, they are given additional variable performance-related payments. On top of this, we offer additional payments: for example we make a contribution to private pension schemes. Moreover, we have also introduced a group-wide bonus model: If DMG MORI is successful, our employees benefit from this too.
