Become a technical sales trainee at DMG MORI

Our individually tailored technical sales trainee programme covers a period of 24 months. During this time, you’ll get to know our products and sales processes, establish a network, as well as use and develop the skills acquired during your training. We’ll help you build on our exceptional support and expertise to guarantee your future career at DMG MORI. Our continuous growth in all key global markets means you have a good chance of being taken on at the end of the trainee programme.

Your duties

  • Supporting our sales engineers in the customer acquisition and sale of our machine tools and with the corresponding product portfolio
  • Customer service and support for specific machine series 
  • Sole responsibility for projects and assistance with special projects 
  • Support and assistance at trade fairs and in-house exhibitions
  • Extensive training in different sales department areas through technical training courses at our production sites 

Your profile

  • You are fully qualified in a technical profession – optionally with a qualification as a master craftsman, technician or other equivalent technical degree
  • Initial work experience in technical sales in the machine tool building environment  would be an advantage
  • You are eager to learn and show initiative
  • You are self-confident with a positive attitude and open-minded towards customers and business partners
  • You have a keen interest in technology and are enthusiastic about solving complex, technical issues
  • You communicate well in person, have an affinity for sales activities and possess exceptional negotiation skills
  • You have a good command of English and are prepared to travel extensively within your sales territory
  • You live in the regional sales and service territory
