Become a DMG MORI application engineer for Sales & Service companies
Our application technicians work on challenging customer projects every day. They develop CAD / CAM programmes for our customers and are responsible for looking after the technology environment as a whole. This involves e.g. selecting tools and clamping devices and optimising process parameters for customer parts. Another field of work is demonstrating and presenting our machines at domestic and overseas trade fairs and at technology seminars in our showrooms.
Your duties
- Professional application technology support and service for our customers
- Technical customer support
- DMG MORI machine demonstrations in coordination with the sales department
- Preliminary and final acceptance of machines and training at customer sites
- Set-up, programming and optimisation of customer workpieces
- Preparation of job time calculations
- Practical implementation of turnkey projects and part-specific machine acceptance
- Assistance and customer support at trade fairs and in-house exhibitions
Your profile
- You are fully qualified in a technical profession (e.g. cutting machine operator, industrial mechanic) specialising in turning or milling technology (optionally further qualification as a master craftsman / technician or equivalent degree)
- You have several years work experience in application technology in the machine tool sector and excellent knowledge of CNC control systems, preferably Siemens / Heidenhain
- You have excellent knowledge of CAD/CAM systems
- You are proficient in MS Office products and have a good command of English
- You are a team player with an independent approach to your work and attention to detail
- You enjoy direct customer contact and stand out for your dedicated and flexible mindset You are prepared to travel within your regional sales and service territory
