General Manager Finance Strategy at DMG MORI Sales and Service Holding GmbH
Shaping the future with strategic foresight
Jonas König joined DMG MORI in 2021 after several years in consulting and completing his MBA on the job. As Manager Business Transformation in the Sales and Service division, he initially worked closely with the CFO of the Sales and Service Holding on process-oriented projects. After just over a year, he took on additional responsibility for operational financial controlling for the Eastern European market and is now working as General Manager Finance Strategy in the Sales and Service Group on various future-oriented topics in the financial area.
"As a group that has grown over the past decades through the integration of numerous companies, with international production facilities and a large number of sales and service locations, harmonization and lean control processes play a central role. We also want to actively support our customers in sales and service in order to be able to finance sustainable investments in our machines," says Jonas, describing the current challenges.
With the strategic decision to establish a European headquarters in Munich, an attractive location in the heart of Europe was chosen. With a 1,500 m² showroom and modern workspaces, the exchange with customers, but also within the Group, is further promoted. Munich is also Jonas’s home of choice since 2024 and he appreciates the diversity of the city and its surroundings.
"Varied, interdisciplinary activities allow for varied tasks in different constellations". For example, Jonas is also involved in the planning and project management of the new European headquarters - helping to shape the future of DMG MORI in Germany and Europe every day.
